Step By Step StickPic Directions

Easy to follow instructions for “Compact” camera or cell phone use. All cameras and cell phone holders have a universal 1/4-20 thread on the bottom of the camera or cell phone holder.

  1.  IMPORTANT FIRST STEP is to test fit the StickPic to your trekking pole tips.
Adjust the lower locking screw accordingly so that it will make contact with the trekking pole tips and will wedge the trekking pole tips in firmly near the middle of the tips when inserted. There is no need to adjust the locking screw after inserting the tips if adjusted correctly. PLEASE DO NOT ADJUST THE LOWER LOCKING SCREW AFTER INSERTING THE TREKKING POLE TIPS.

  2. Make sure the black jam nut is screwed all the way to the bottom of the StickPic and then screw the StickPic into the threaded hole in the camera or cell phone holder. After 3 to 4 of the threads engage the camera or cell phone holder, stop the StickPic when the arrow on the front of the StickPic is pointing towards the front of the camera or cell phone holder Then tighten the black jam nut so it makes contact and is firmly attached to the bottom of the camera or cell phone holder. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN!

  1. Attach the camera wrist strap or the included safety strap to the top of the trekking pole snow basket to act as a safety link.

  1. While holding the StickPic with the camera attached in one hand, slide the tip of the trekking pole into the StickPic. While using a twisting left and right motion, firmly wedge the trekking pole in the StickPic. The StickPic should wedge on near the middle of the trekking pole tips when the lower adjustment screw is properly set. The lower adjusting screw is what will assist in wedging the tips in firmly. If you are using a cell phone holder, you can now attach the cell phone to the cell phone holder.

  2. Set your camera or cell phone self timer about 5 seconds and extend the trekking pole to a comfortable distance to take a picture or video. Holding the handle of the trekking pole low and close to your body will reduce the chance of the trekking pole being in the picture. Because of the set angle of the camera, there is no need to stick your arm out.

  1. Practice with a few test shots and “DON'T FORGET TO SMILE!”

Attach the StickPic wrist strap to the top of the trekking pole basket. This will act as a safety link.
Set the camera self timer for about 5 seconds. Extend the trekking pole in front of you and point the camera in your general direction.
